I really didn't want to Interlibrary Loan that book on women workers in Japanese silk factories at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century, which I needed to touch up my research at a place I was rewriting.
(Actually -- I probably should buy it, shouldn't I? Or else the Japanese books I was using for research and which I may or may not be able to find again...)
