owlectomyThe tentative budget agreement is: no union layoffs, but a 32% cut in the materials budget. Churlishly, even as I'm thrilled not to be laid off yet*, I'm grumping about perhaps not getting my Mango Languages or my new YA books.
*Bloomberg had to restore our funding because it's an election year. We could be getting some of this money taken away from us as early as November.
Oh well. I'm relieved, profoundly relieved.
