Good timing

I am going to a party on Wednesday. A costume party. Which means I have all of, uh, this weekend to put together a costume - which will require either thrift-shopping or sewing or, I don't know, they might have something serviceable at one of the Halloween stores, but the thematic limits of the costume party make that seem unlikely. I am hosting book club on Tuesday, and there's no one else who can.

Aaaand here comes that cold that's been giving me sinus headaches for the past week. Can't take a sick day because there's no one to open up the library, but if I'm feeling real bad I can go home a couple hours early.... and, uh, go to the Halloween store? (no, no, I wouldn't.)

OTOH I've been due for a cold for a while now, and it may as well be now instead of when I'm traveling.

Ick. I feel your pain. I'm suffering through a cold myself. I couldn't get anyone to work for me either, so I was stuck hacking and sneezing at work all week. I guess that's what hand washing is for.
