Words and food
21/5/07 09:33It's been a while since a word count update, so:
I'm going forward now with a goal of getting the first draft finished by my birthday and a final draft finished by the October deadline for a certain YA-first-novel contest.
And now, cooking! This is so fast and simple and good. (I get the precooked shrimp from Trader Joe's.) Not cheap, of course.
Cook some garlic over low heat in plenty of olive oil. When it's all nice and golden, add shrimp, salt, and whatever spices you feel like (cumin and paprika, in the cookbook, but I had some cayenne on hand and that was it). Give it a couple of stirs and put it under the broiler for 5-10 minutes.
