Adding Japanese input on Ubuntu is as simple as going into 'languages,' and picking 'add language,' and picking 'Japanese.' And then you restart the computer and then it works. This is the operating system that I cuddle and squeeze.
...But not tightly enough to loosen the screws in that hinge.
