They just posted a job opening at a public library in Cote-des-Neiges that doesn't require you to be bilingual. I don't have the cataloging experience, but... I don't know, I might just go ahead and apply?

Err, no. My passport is expired. I JUST got my pictures taken and I'm going to fix that ASAP. Oh well.

Do you have to go there for an interview and do you have to fly? (Yes, I suppose.) But ground travel is still passport free till July IIRC.

There's a train. It took about twelve hours last time, I think.

That's good to know. I'm thinking I can't move again so soon, but it's not like a job like this is going to come up again anytime soon, and someone else will apply who speaks Russian and has cataloging experience, so yeah. I may as well apply.

Apply. You can always decide to turn them down!

I still have my job for now, but I'm going down to 20 hours. I'm still on the fence about whether to wait out the bad economy or jump ship altogether -- it depends on whether I can live on 20 hours plus a little bit from my book money.
