So, the verdict is:

- I do have hyperparathyroidism.

- However, my calcium is normal, and CAT scan and sestamibi scan failed to turn up a tumor, so we're going to forego surgery for now and do more bloodwork in 6-9 months.

- Because my calcium is normal, my fracture probably didn't have anything to do with my parathyroid.

- So, we're back to 'benign bone tumor,' I guess. We're also back to hand surgery, I guess. Endocrine surgeon will get back in touch with hand surgeon and we'll see what happens from there.

- Have not ruled out bunnies.

Maybe you just REALLY wrecked your finger. My bag feel like a ton of bricks and I know if all that weight was suddenly on my little finger it'd snap too!

Keep carrots on you.
Didn't they not find a tumor? or did they? I forget which version we're on...

They did find a black spot on my X-ray, so there's definitely something there. I saw it, the X-ray tech saw it, my hand surgeon saw it. But the idea was that if the parathyroid thing was causing the tumor, it would go away on its own if my parathyroid was fixed.
