owlectomyThe problem is not insufficiently good writing. The problem is insufficiently thorough thinking. This is a thing that takes time to fix.
For a moment I wish I were a Hollywood screenwriter so that no one would care about massive plot holes (let alone minor places where the plot needs darning.)
