Please let's just reform health care. Please. I have just been through over two hours of unpleasantness trying to find anyone who would draw my blood and take my insurance. Tell me we can do better than this.
Yeah, most of that two hours was spent trying to talk to even one real live endocrinologist -- and then when I found one, she told me I didn't need to see an endocrinologist. Which made things a great deal simpler.
Is her differing opinion going to cause medical trouble elsewhere w/another doctor? (like: You need endocrinologist approval or this test from an endocrinologist before we'll do this)
I am pretending that it won't. My, you know, vast medical knowledge says that it's not a big deal who does the test as long as I get it done, since it's just a quick lab procedure. I'll go with that assumption just because I can't find an endocrinologist who can see me in the next two weeks anyway.
No seriously, I've been seriously ill in both the US and the Great North now, and I'm convinced that if Americans knew how utterly amazing single payer insurance was, they'd be marching the in streets to get it.
