owlectomyOne of my principles in life is that if I see an opportunity for socializing that I think I would enjoy, I try to make it my highest priority because if I don't, I don't socialize at all. So a Halloween party with some people I know should be a no-brainer, right?
But one of my other principles is that I wear awesome costumes. I might dress as a syntax tree, or I might dress so subtly people don't realize it's a costume, but I really do enjoy dressing up. Making a full costume in two weeks with no sewing machine and no idea... WHILE MOVING?
...Hmm. If I go as a complete cliche of a hoodie-wearing, iPod-listening, writing-in-a-Moleskine, knitting-on-the-subway Williamsburg hipster, well, I need new glasses anyway...
