I guess I've started on a new novel after all!

This is one of those things that I didn't quite want to announce until I'd done a significant bit of work on it, in case it didn't work out, or I had to rethink all of my assumptions, but things look pretty good so far except for the RESEARCH. Seriously: I'm writing fantasy, you'd think that I could just make stuff up, right? But I keep finding true things that are more interesting than anything I could make up, so I'll have to go afield to one library after another.
