My haircut

owlectomyI feel like I'm coming out of a haze of "Novel novel novel!" where I can actually think about things like groceries and haircuts and doctor's appointments instead of just... "Novel novel novel!"
And so I got my hair cut. It was long overdue, but as I told the hairdresser, I wait until it gets long enough to annoy me, and then wait some more. The good news is, I am super happy about my hair, which is why I am showing it to the internets.
I went to the Word bookstore in Brooklyn for a thing called "Just Working On My Novel," where published and unpublished writers read from their works, and I think I was hoping that the instant self-confidence boost of a good haircut would carry me through the night, and also that I could not possibly read in front of a big old hipster crowd without a good haircut. So, mission accomplished.

28/10/10 06:20 (UTC)Does your neck feel colder? Not sure how long yours had gotten, but mine always felt astonishingly colder going from neck-covering to not (& obviously to almost no hair at all means my head feels even colder).
