8/8/08 15:35One does wish that cranks who wish to expound at length on how few computers the libraries have, how few books, how short the opening hours are, etc., would expound at length to the people who made those decisions instead of to (for example) me. I have been worn down to the point of "All right all right give the libraries a couple million dollars, just please go away!" - but that only works if you're in a position to give the libraries a couple million dollars.
If nothing else, one wishes that they would be able to interpret such subtle clues of body language as staring at one's computer screen, typing, and not responding with even vague "mm-hmms" of interest.
