owlectomyI never knew before now how common it's becoming for people to send text messages while driving. I never knew that a sane person would consider sending a text message while driving.
I AM NEVER LEAVING NEW YORK. Unless it is to move to a city with equally good public transportation. Or to move to the 1970s. I could still get run over in a crosswalk, or while riding my bike, of course, but - I sure do not want to drive on the same highway as these people.
I should clean my room, since I've got the day off. But it's awfully hot for that - for anything, in fact. Hopefully a cool shower will help and when I'm done cleaning I can go find somewhere that's cold and has seats.

texting while driving
1/8/08 12:05 (UTC)spankygurl from Australia here, just wanted to comment on the people who drive and text message...it IS scary....I have actually seen someone driving down a highway, drink in one hand, phone in other, wrist kind of leaning on the steering wheel!!
On one of the main roads here we have a sign that says "Drive n text, you're text"....so true
