29/7/08 12:44We have the new Stephenie Meyer book, "Breaking Dawn," at the library. So I skipped ahead and read the last page, since I already know I have absolutely no interest in reading the other pages.
It is really special. It is possibly the most special thing I have ever read.
Yesterday I happened upon how much of an advance Meyer got for the Twilight books. That is something I could really do without knowing. I am usually at peace with the terrible taste of the public at large - as any public librarian must be - but. Even so.

29/7/08 18:01 (UTC)No, I just read one page out of six hundred-ish, so I don't know if there were babies or not. My money is on not. But I did copy the last sentence into my notebook because it was Just. So. Special.
"And then we continued blissfully into this small but perfect piece of our forever."
