I have my doubts that the rejection letter will ever wend its way toward me (Meaghan, would you check if you get the chance?) but by now I've heard that there wasn't any winner at all for the Delacorte Press YA novel contest. Well, it's kind of discouraging to lose to no one.

I will wait until some point in time when my throat doesn't hurt and I don't owe money to the government before I reread, revise, reevaluate, and throw the thing at somebody else. I would like not to give up on it quickly - but I find that the further away I get from the actual writing of it, the more my self-consciousness overwhelms my pride and the less I want anyone to see my writing.

I thought it was just me, or just this book. I've been squirming about how blind I must have been to send mine off.

I think it's probably a lot of people. I would've said everybody, except apparently John Ringo is immune (http://hradzka.livejournal.com/194753.html#cutid1). ;-)
