Red wine is my kryptonite. I thought if I had just barely a sip of organic no-sulfite wine, I would be fine. And indeed, I didn't trigger a migraine. I just woke up in the morning feeling all the textbook hangover symptoms. This seems like it should be against the laws of nature.

So I went to Kinokuniya as I was planning to do (I like to go to Bryant Park anyway for the free wi-fi, and it's right there), in that mood of looking for something but not knowing what it was, and the more I looked the more I got anxious and woozy, and I thought that I should buy a not-too-intellectual political magazine. This actually might have been a decent idea, except that apparently I wasn't alert enough at that point to have my right-wing-propaganda sensors activated. I looked - but not hard enough, I suppose, and I got hung up on a causative verb.

Yes, I bought right-wing propaganda.

May this be always be the dumbest thing alcohol has ever made me do.

(Usually I think of my low alcohol tolerance as mildly hilarious, and also economical. I'm good at keeping tabs on how much I've drunk and how I'm feeling. I just need to keep the heck away from red wine, apparently.)

Oh no! I'm sorry the red wine set you off.

Me too! When I studied abroad in England I went through the "I'm going to drink a lot" phase (odd, b/c I'd never been huge on procuring alcohol when I was in the US) but then after a while it just got... old. & I hardly drink @ all anymore. Cheap, yay. And no vomiting. :P

No worries! The fun of the evening outweighed the consequences of my own willful stupidity.
