owlectomySo, over Christmas we had a visit from Little Sister and Middlest Sister's new puppy, Walter.
Puppies are insane. It has been a good thirteen, fourteen years since we had a puppy in the house, so I forgot; poor old Molly-dog would have Crazy Herding Runs up until she was quite middle-aged, eight or nine, but in her old age she has become very mild and sedate.
Walter's favorite hobby is attacking Molly. Her fluffy tail is a very exciting chew-toy, and he doesn't quite seem to understand that she doesn't want to play, and doesn't have the energy to give him a good smacking-down.
And yet... when they were raking leaves out in the yard, she herded him away from the street.
Good dog.
