Ugh. Scratched the paint off the SUV next to me as I was trying to park in the parking garage at Duke. I am very dismayed--I thought I was a better driver than that!--but mostly anxious, because I'm still waiting to hear from the guy...

Yes, but.
The last time I was involved in a bicycle accident it cost me $2000 in hospital bills. (Which says more about the health care system in this country than it says about bicycle safety...)
