owlectomy(1) Since we have finally entered our new fiscal year, we got a new paper cutter to replace the one that had not seen a sharp edge since the '80s. It has a laser!!!! A laser to tell you where the blade is going to cut. Libraries have good toys.
(2) Another evening of Crafts and Gentle Philosophy. ("There's hardly any mistake you can make that's so bad duct tape can't fix it"; "If you make a mistake, do it again, and it'll look like you did it on purpose.") Some parents tend to be astonishingly focused on the product instead of the process; dude, it's a duct tape wallet. The most perfect duct tape wallet in the history of duct tape wallets was still a duct tape wallet.
At any rate, a good time was had by all.
