Mondays are... Mondays.
21/5/07 21:01The second time I've witnessed someone using the library tables to change a diaper.
And this question:
"Is this book appropriate for me?"
"How old are you?"
"Fourteen."
Mind you, she looked sixteen at least, and if she hadn't asked I wouldn't have said anything. But I stand by my "Oh, gee, no, I think it's probably a little old. Can I point you at our YA books?"

22/5/07 05:04 (UTC)I only ask because with the reputation my library system has of being child-friendly, we don't have so much as enough counter space on which to change my child in the bathroom in at least two of the branches here. There isn't a lot of wiggle room on the floor, either.
I suppose I'd take Thea home to get changed before I'd do it on a library table, but it would probably depend on how bad the mess was and how far from home we were. (I don't have a car.)
Dunno if any of that would apply to the folks you've seen. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
