I spent a decent amount of time researching just what vacuum I should buy that would be decently effective and powerful without costing an arm and a leg. "Gosh," I thought, after I had assembled it, "This is powerful."

Then it ate my pants.

I grew up with a Rainbow and recently looked up the price on a new one and now I'm mystified as to how my parents ever afforded one. No wonder my stepmom kept having to work.

But I still want one. *sniff* Maybe I'll find a good used one someday...
