owlectomyEven though the situation at the library is, you know, 98% good, every once in a while I overhear something like "she doesn't like black people," and, yeah, that's not so much fun. (Apparently I'm racist when I get on teenagers' cases for being loud and obnoxious, and I'm racist when I don't. So.)
I would like to think that I am capable of being mature and sensible.
But there's nothing like bringing in Celtic Christmas music* to work to make me think, "I am so white, vampires will be going to me for makeup tips."
Also, the Sufjan Stevens Christmas CD is good.
*Nobody around is likely to be more bothered about separation of church and state than I am, so I'm basically content to let it drop and join in with the Christmas music.
