Doctor Who, 2.10-- (yes, I AM watching this season as it airs on American TV, actually)-- possibly the most fannish episode of any TV show that I have ever seen. Not the kind of fan service with cleavage and panty shots, but the kind of fan service that shows the ways in which it's good to be passionate about things, even about things that might never return your affections--the ways in which that can make you creative, and create friendships, and in short make you less like the stereotypical antisocial fanboy. Or fangirl.
