owlectomyAxiom: The appeal of learning a new alphabet is directly related to the amount of actual work needing to be done, and also, ooh! They sent the library books in Korean!
About 70% done with memorizing "The Raven," for certain values of "done" and "memorizing." Acquired black skirt at J. Jill discounted from $90 to $20. Busy preparing my other stories, a Japanese ghost story, something humorous-scary from one of the popular anthologies, and G-Rated Tam Lin. It may be wildly inappropriate to attempt a G-rated Tam Lin, but I like it too much to care. Am still attempting to locate a raven puppet, as the only store I know of with a decent Folkmanis selection is all the way in Carrboro. And closed Sunday.

It's super-easy to apply because it's flat- almost like one of those calligraphy markers. You can apply it long-side across for a thin line, or the other way for a thick line. It's not *quite* as dark as you'll get with liquid eyeliner- but after trying and failing for a couple hours with the liquid stuff, I decided it's never going to look good and is not worth it. This stuff went on in, like, 30 seconds and looked great, and was dark enough that I decided it was too dark for work on the lower eyelid (upper eyelid was fine).
Plus it's like, $6, so not too too bad.
