It is slightly vexing that being able to afford a paid account, and wanting a paid account (yes, this has something to do with the new season of Doctor Who. Pretty people, clever dialogue, and me with insufficient icon space) should coincide with me being unsure about whether I actually want to give monetary support to Livejournal's business practices--this whole thing with sponsored communities and sock-puppet accounts. It's not that I expect Livejournal to be a paragon of corporate virtue, or anything--I just don't feel like rewarding their behavior.

I still want icons, though.

They have a Plus Account that gives you 15 icons and polling feature but it means advertisements on your page.
