One of the computers is down, which means that the entire automatic reservation system doesn't work*, which means that I have to manually make reservations for everyone who wants to use the computer.
The computers, incidentally, are much more popular than the books.
Also, it's the library page's day off, and there's no one else here, so I've had to do the reshelving myself; I've been running back and forth between the book truck and the shelves, all the while trying to check people out, make their computer reservations, print out their computer prints, fax their faxes, and do their tech support. Including discouraging them from using MySpace, because no, the computer that runs on Window 95 isn't fast enough for the blinky graphics and the music and everything.
*I can't manually take the computer offline. Therefore, the reservation computer things that the down computer is still online. And, because it's not being used, as soon as you try to make a reservation, you're assigned to the computer that doesn't work.
