Okay. So I was just offered my job again for the summer. Being that it's a university research assistantship, and being that I'm making more an hour than an undergrad for the same work, it's a slightly underfunded position and there was some doubt over whether there'd be the money to pay me for another semester.

I'm taking the job. I need the money, because otherwise when I get a car it will have three wheels.

But the reason I need a car is that I am going to try to get myself a field experience, unpaid, over the summer. Which is 20 hours per week. Which may well end up being out in Durham, or even Wake County.

And I'm going to try to audit a Spanish class.

And I'm going to Montreal for the wedding of a family friend.

Well, 40 hours a week and commuting between two jobs sounds like an interesting challenge.

I've done worse ^_^

Try working 50+ hours a week, no days off, commuting between two jobs...

Yeah, it didn't last long. About a month in I was totally burnt out.

Make sure to give yourself at least 1 day off a week and you'll be fine. Working 3 days a week at one job and 2 days at another also makes your commuting a lot less problematic, if you can pull that off... Even working 2 10 hour days at one location and 2 10 hour days at the other (if that is possible)... The days get long but you won't have the commuting trouble that you would if you did 2 1/2 days at one job and 2 1/2 at the other.

Good luck ^_^

Yeah, I totally know that you've done worse. But I haven't, yet. ^_^

Ideally, yeah, I could pull off different days... I could do two 7 1/2 hour days in preservation, and the rest of the time elsewhere. But it's really, really tedious work so I might be able to handle it better if I could split it up, even if that meant a little commuting between jobs.
