When there's this story meandering without a purpose inside your head, and you're still exploring all its nooks and crannies, and suddenly there's this moment of "Oh." Oh, I know how to write this, I know what this story means. It's wonderful.
You know what I hate?
When, instead of writing, I have to write my paper proposal on Welsh and Scottish Gaelic. Not that I have anything at all against Welsh and Gaelic! I have them to thank for the story I'm working on now. But I would rather be writing. Theoretically. I think maybe I would rather be procrastinating and posting LJ posts, because that's what I'm doing now.
