It turns out that if I plug in a real mouse and real keyboard to my netbook (and thanks for the TARDIS USB hub, Marshall, because I've got enough slots to do that!) it's almost like having a new computer. With a tiny tiny monitor. Maybe I'll try putting it on top of a phone book or something, because my neck is not doing so well this morning. (And I can get a new monitor to hook up to it if finances allow, because if I get a new computer I'll need a monitor anyway...)

The only thing I'm really losing out on with my Linux netbook is iTunes, and that's an annoyance because I don't know if there's a way to get mp3s from my computer to my iPod without it, though I can download from the iTunes store directly with my iPod. Rhythmbox turns out to be very nice for podcasts, Ubuntu Netbook Edition is lovely, and I got the wireless on it working very quickly after installing the proprietary firmware. So, I'm doing fine until I see whether I can afford to replace the desktop.
