(On -- all the people who think they have Important Thoughts about young adult books who actually don't read any of it but the huge bestsellers; and the elevation of John Green as the One True YA Author Who Writes Good Stuff, with very little attention paid to the women who are writing excellent YA; and the amount of misogyny involved when books that talk about teenage girls falling in love are treated like the worst thing to ever happen to wood pulp with little blobs of ink on it.)
