My Saskatchewan-raised cousin says that 2 degrees Celsius is not even cold enough for a winter jacket. I am forced to disagree.

The boiler broke again yesterday. There was a bit of warm water when I came home but it just kept getting colder. I filled up a hot water bottle and put it at my feet, but I spent so much time with that and hot chocolate and so on that I didn't get the words I wanted to. I woke up before six the next morning with a puddle of cold water under my feet, my hot water bottle having leaked in the night.

Tonight I am taking laptop, earplugs, and music device to a bookstore or coffee shop and I will finish my NaNoWriMo there. Even though I am awfully tired.

[NaNoWriMo WINNER!]

IT IS SO BAD.

But, I think it worked really well as a kind of linear brainstorming tool. And it worked really well to get me writing something just for fun, like I'm bicycling down a hill with the wind in my hair. I will come back, maybe in mid-December, maybe in the new year, and see if I can take these pieces and hammer out an outline from it, because I do think that it has a lot of potential.
