I am very good about making rules for myself and less good about following them.
Regardless, here's one: no more buying toys, books, CDs, yarn, anything I don't really need that's going to take up space, until my bedroom is adequate in terms of aesthetics and organization.
I need to sort out the difference between the things that pile up because I don't want to deal with them, the things I have that I don't really need, the things that I do want to keep but need to find a storage solution for, and probably some categories that I haven't thought of yet.
I need to grab some shelving.
I need to grab some art to put up on my walls. Currently I have nothing.
One of my problems is that I bought my desk and dresser while I was living in Raleigh. They're the size of the Titanic, so they're too big for my room, but they're too valuable to get rid of for what I could sell them for.
I still have the walls, and I'm allowed to drill into them, so any storage is going to have to go up there.
As usual, I am hopeful even though I really shouldn't be.
