14/6/08 13:53A couple of weeks ago I complained to my sister that Asahiya was out of B-Boy Novel, so instead I had to get a political opinion magazine, which was disappointingly lacking in hot guys. This is the kind of thing I can say to my sister because she knows exactly how much I am serious. For the record, it's 7%.
I actually really like Ronza - for the same reason I get my news from blogs; the news is much more interesting when people are angry and outraged about it. 'Let's see what the scary Japanese right-wing is up to' is kind of a pet interest for me, maybe because the scary American right-wing is a little too scary. So they can get away with some fairly in-depth political reporting while not making my eyes glaze over to the same extent as, say, the Asahi Shimbun.
Well, today I find out that apparently Ronza's losing money and is going to suspend publication in the fall. I am officially annoyed. Where will I get my center-left politial opinions, and vague superficial knowledge about current events in Japan, now?
Random aside: the bad keyboard on my work computer means that if I type 'livejournal,' it usually comes out as 'liejournal.' Five months later, that's still funny to me.
