I was very smart to include a back-ordered Bump of Chicken songbook in with the bunch of manga and light novels I ordered a few weeks ago. It means that I won't have to pay for my books until I can actually afford them.
If, that is, I can find the money order for my speeding ticket, which I think I just might have sandwiched into my copy of "Mainspring" which I returned to the library, too annoyed with it to think to check it for bookmarks.

I attempted to bike around lake Johnson today. It was only three miles, but it took so long -- 30 minutes -- that I thought I might have managed to get lost going around in a circle. Way too many hills, and I need my derailleur adjusted. (I've needed my derailleur adjusted for the last year and a half, actually...)

On Saturday I went to a community outreach day in a neighborhood not far from the library, to tell stories. They also had a DJ come out there, who blasted rap music at volumes that shook the ground. They started while I was in the middle of reading a picture book, and continued for hours. Not my finest hour.

I have two flashes-of-scenes in my head from very different potential-books. But, Gianna, I don't care how many issues you have, I have absolutely no desire to write a sequel.

I have two and a half weeks to come up with a costume of a Lewis Carroll character to wear to a bachelorette party. This is probably the best problem I've had in a long while, but I need to figure out something less twelve-years-old than sticking straws up my nose and being a walrus.
