Weekend DIY
4/8/07 22:29I have been living in my apartment for seven months now, and I am still missing some important things. Like something to sit on. And art on the walls.
I'm still thinking about whether or not I should get around to buying a sofa, but at last I have some art on the walls. I've been trying to figure out something cheap, that wouldn't mark up the walls, but that would be a notch above posters taped to the wall.
So: I picked up some Post-It photo paper that's sticky on the back, printed out some Creative Commons photos on Flickr, mounted them on foam board, then used poster putty to put them up on the wall. Not a perfect solution (I don't have a mat cutter, and my utility knife skills leave something to be desired) but I will not have to look at my blank white walls any more.
