I love it when Cut & Paste lets me feel like I have accomplished something.
Still have to write: (retroactively) the big fight that I've decided I want to have onscreen after all; (retroactively) where they decide to get around the school's censorship by putting the play on in the school auditorium as planned but without anybody noticing-- I had another idea, but I like that one better; and the world premiere of Totally Sweet Ninja Death Squad; and the relationship stuff. So it may go over 40k, which would be a good thing as far as I'm concerned.
Well. Now I have to think about things like shelling out the full license fee for the word processor I'm using (Mellel. It's very nice.) and printing. The laser printer I wanted is not Mac-compatible. I may get an inkjet, or then again I may buy a printer cartridge and go over to the parental house for printing.
I don't know whether to be glad that I'm getting better at working motifs and themes into my writing or a little embarrassed that I would build a motif around transportation and who gets rides from whom. But, it genuinely was important to me in high school! More to the point, it is very important to Cassandra, who really wants her friends to be there for her when she needs them, but also wants to be fiercely independent and doesn't want to admit needing help, ever.
