Rent! In French!

As a wannabe translator I have long been charmed by attempts to translate songs into other languages; it's virtually impossible to keep both the rhythm and the rhyme at once, and I'm always stunned at what a good job Disney dubs, for example, do of it.

So I'm charmed that they're doing Rent in French in Montreal. I sort of want to go, actually, except that it's probably way too much to pay for a show I've already seen, in a language I don't understand.

This is to remind myself to look up the lyrics some time. ;-)

(I also saw an ad for Rent in Japan, in June magazine of course...curious about that one as well).
