9/5/11 21:36I had some writing money come through! \o/
Gonna get a new fountain pen, and put the rest in savings.
Okay. Gonna get new clothes for WisCon, and THEN put the rest in savings.
Okay. Gonna buy new shoes, and THEN put the rest in savings.
Irregular income is difficult! But although I may not be thrilled about going back to work full-time, I will be getting more money, so I don't feel bad about a couple of little indulgences.
And I think it's important to invest in oneself too. Which is why I am finally getting some gym shoes so I can finally sign up for the YMCA.
Which doesn't mean I need to get a new laptop. No really no.

10/5/11 16:20 (UTC)Yay things!
Let me know if you need any advice re: gym shoes; I don't know what you need but I assume we have pretty similar feet. I also nearly always have a pair or two going out of rotation; they are somewhat beat-up and don't have as much stability/cushioning as a new pair would but are still good for low-impact/non impact stuff. I have a pair of mens' size 11 and a pair of womens' size 12.
