My family had an Amiga.

I have sworn that I will never again be an early adopter.

I'm pretty sure that issues of DRM, ebook pricing, and the like, will shake themselves out eventually in a way that I can come to terms with. And I really hope that they will, because though I have some sentimentality attached to print books, I would love to not have to worry about whether I have enough bookcases for my books, and enough space to put my bookcases. But I'm going to wait until they finish shaking themselves out.

Still, as a librarian who often uses Amazon as a backstop to the catalog (why don't we have book X? Am I looking for the right title, am I spelling the author's name wrong, is it out of print, has the book not been released in the US yet?) I have been made even more aware of the perils of doing so.
