The Penguin spring 2010 catalog is out!

David Levithan and John Green co-wrote a book and NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT IT? And it has a musical in it and it comes out two months before mine. I am mildly concerned by this. Mostly I'm excited to read it, though.
(However: When is DL going to write another book by himself? Not that I didn't love Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, but there was Wide Awake in, hm, 2006, and then a short story collection in early 2008, and maybe I'm impatient because I wasn't so thrilled by Wide Awake. But I'm going to be annoyed if we don't get another solo novel at some point.)

Tiptree winner Hiromi Goto teamed up with Jillian Tamaki (SKIM) on an illustrated YA fantasy. I want this RIGHT NOW.

And there's a new Ellen Datlow/Terri Windling anthology about shape changers, "The Beastly Bride"! Beautiful cover. Looking forward to it.

Normally that anthology news would excite me a lot but Racefail completely destroyed my ability to read anything that comes out of the incestuous little circle at the heart of fantasy/scifi publishing right now. :( It makes me sad because they inspired my own novel to such a degree.
