Ugh.

Well, I went to the hand doctor this morning; it was pretty obvious from the x-ray that I wasn't going to get any good news, and he confirmed that I'm going to lose the joint at the base of my little finger.

I'm not dealing with this very well yet.

I won't be able to play the piano any more (well, I'd just barely picked that up again), or the recorder (well, I hadn't found a recorder consort yet) -- I doubt I'll get back up to typing 80 wpm, and I really like typing 80 wpm.

And I'm so excited about hanging out at home recovering from surgery with nothing to do.

I'll get over it. It isn't that big a deal, I know. I'm just ... gonna be mad at the world for a little more.
