The new LJ ads...

Are AWFUL. So it's down to either getting a paid account or leaving LJ. I would just as soon leave LJ, since I'm likely to be getting a shiny new professional-ish website soon, but it would be nice to have a place for friends-locked content; but I don't really want to pay for my own domain/web site and for LJ. Must think more on the alternatives.

I don't want my LJ to have ads on it. It doesn't matter if I never see them (at any rate I can't install Adblock on work computers) - I don't want anyone else to see them either. And lots of people don't stay logged into LJ, especially at work...

I am not really rational when it comes to advertising.
