Yeah, and it's a LOT of people who suck--the editors, and the publishers, and the reviewers, all somehow thought that this was a good idea. (The dog-on-treadmill one inexplicably got good reviews from School Library Journal and Publishers Weekly--well, it's hard to get a bad review from PW, and SLJ is not the most trustworthy review source either. Horn Book is the only magazine I'd trust as far as I could throw it.) I mean, what, are eating disorders not a big enough problem?

And more YA diet books keep coming out... it's like, they TRY to be not clueless, but they end up saying "You should love your body just the way it is! Except, hate it just enough so that you're not FAT."
