owlectomy: A squashed panda sewing a squashed panda (storytime)

As if my weekend wasn't going to be overscheduled enough, what with buying a new car and cleaning out the old one and going to Duke to turn in my overdue books - Jon freakin' Scieszka (You get a Children's Librarian Merit Badge if you can spell it) is coming to Quail Ridge Books this weekend. He is an author of odd, funny, and disgusting picture books, most notably The Stinky Cheese Man but also Squids Will Be Squids and Seen Art? and Math Curse and the Time Warp Trio series. Yay!

My. Favorite. Bookstore. They get some really awesome people in. But it was so much easier to go to things there when all I had to do was walk across the street.

BTW, thanks for steering me towards the credit union...they've been great, and helped me save a ton of money.

Yes, that looks like a great group! Apologies for ignoring your earlier comment about that--didn't mean to, but I got distracted...

Oh did I invite you twice or something? If so, apologies; I just invited people around the web that I've noticed are good at Japanese.
