Every single public library job in North Carolina says that you should really be able to speak Spanish. And yet, UNC won't give me credit for taking a Spanish course.

Like it's my fault I was studying French, Japanese, and Old English when I could have been studying something more useful. ;-)

Ah well. It's not like I've never learned a language by self-study before. I'll just watch a lot of Telemundo.

Cool! I'm not actually in UNC yet. I'm graduating from McGill this spring, and after that I'm starting a library science program at UNC-CH. So we don't know each other, but perhaps we can meet up this fall... I don't want my Japanese to get rusty now that I can't take language courses for credit. ;) I'm Emily, by the way.
