owlectomy: A squashed panda sewing a squashed panda (Default)
I'm on page 39/69 out of my big novel readthrough. This is a printing copy with tiny font, tiny margins, and so on, in order to save paper, which is why it's taken me this long to get through 39 pages.

I'm making a lot of notes. I hope that because of all the notes I'm making I can breeze through the actual revisions, but I may be overly optimistic on that point. I'm not seeing any huge scenes that I need to add -- maybe just one -- and I think I am developing some confidence in my voice and in the way the story is coming together.

I have, however, made an executive decision to chill out about when I get this novel turned in. The sooner I turn it in the sooner I can frolic (yes - I will frolic), which is no doubt a good thing, but. Sometimes you get a message in bold red 80-point font, and mine says BREATHE.
