1. Saw the Tim Burton exhibit at MoMA. I enjoyed it, but wouldn't necessarily recommend it given the expense of getting into MoMA and the hassle of timed tickets (fortunately I saw it with Diana, who has a membership, so it wasn't an issue). Lots of sketches and cartoons and some movie props and maquettes and things. I guess the exhibit made me slightly cynical about Tim Burton revisiting the same themes and the same ideas over and over, or else it's his recent movies that made me cynical about that.
2. Ate! At La Bonne Soupe and Soy and Sake. Had a goat cheese and leek crepe, and barbecued fake ribs. And still no sake, because I had to go in to work afterwards. We're planning on hitting Mitsuwa, the Japanese grocery in New Jersey, sometime this week, so there may be sake then.
3. Tried on bridesmaid dresses. A good friend of mine from high school is getting married in September, and my sister and I are both bridesmaids. Luckily she only picked out the color and left the styling to us -- so I think I tried on about seven dresses in all, but I was able to find more than one that I like! ...If I ignore that rule that says floor-length dresses are supposed to be floor-length. I am a tall person and my feet will show. (The short dresses are too short for a tall person. They had two tea-length dresses, neither of which looked good on me. Oh well.)
4. Got a haircut!
5. Accomplished more clothes shopping than I have in months, by which I mean I bought one shirt. I'm still outrageously picky.
