I am tentatively speculating that if the largest size of this one or this one actually fits me, they might be worth looking into. (They are actually cheaper than the bikes I've had my eye on previously, the ones built to lug around fifty pounds of camping gear, which I like not because they're built to lug around camping gear but because they have more relaxed geometry and very low gears and are less twitchy than the typical overly-light racing bikes.)
I suspect that I would be better off with a woman's bike--according to what I've read, riding men's bikes can make you too stretched out, leading to hand numbness (check) and lower back pain (check, and ow.) Theoretically, the largest size might be just about right, but I won't know till I try it out.
But I have already had to buy a new Player's Handbook and dice and a miniature this month. This sociability thing can get expensive. Maybe I can true my wheel myself...
