My proposal has gone off to the departmental Institutional Review Board, where it'll spend a week before getting shoved off to the university IRB, which will eventually approve it so that I can do my experiments with ionizing radiation and fetal tissue innocuous librarian interviews.
(You know why we don't have superheroes? It's 'cause of the darned IRB. They won't let mad scientists be mad scientists any more!)
